We all come from different walks of life,
but Jesus draws us to Himself and to one another.
On Sundays, we remember what God has done in Jesus
and learn how to grow in our love for Him.

Sermon Application Questions
1. Which is easier for you to recognize, God’s prompting toward action, or God’s restraining from action? In what ways have you seen God intervene to save you from a wrong action?
2. In what ways does David act like Saul in this passage? In what ways is he different? How do you relate to David’s impulsive behavior? How quickly do you listen and respond to correction in the midst of your own impulses?
3. We are more prone to seeing the faults in our enemies or opponents than we are to our heroes. How does David’s behavior in this chapter strike you? Is your initial reaction to see it for what it is, or to try to excuse it? How does David’s behavior here highlight the need for a better hero?
