We all come from different walks of life,
but Jesus draws us to Himself and to one another.
On Sundays, we remember what God has done in Jesus
and learn how to grow in our love for Him.

Sermon Application Questions
1. What stands out to you about the response of love that David received from different people? What is remarkable about the love shown toward David? In addition to what was discussed in the sermon, how was this love toward David costly on the part of those expressing it?
2. In what ways is Saul presented as a tragic figure in this passage? As a comic figure? As an antagonistic figure? Why is it important for you to view him as more than a caricature? How can you be helped to think of him as a whole person?
3. It is said that a Christian is immortal until their work for Christ is complete. What do you think? Does this statement give you assurance and confidence as you pursue your labors for Jesus? Why or why not? Take time to talk to God about your current attitude. Thank Him for all the ways He has guarded you to this point, both those ways that you are aware of as well as those that you aren’t.
